Thinking theologically means being willing to repent of our intellectual hardening of the arteries. It means being willing to take a risk and recognize that we are not people of the book, but people of the living Lord Jesus. Jesus is the head of the body, not the Bible, not our intellectual formulations, not the latest fashionable trend. Jesus alone is the one through whom, by whom and in whom we as Christians must begin and end our theological thinking.
