In Prayer, Quotes
Prayer arises, if at all, from incompetence, otherwise there is no need for it.
— Thérèse of Lisieux, quoted in Sharon A. Hersch, The Last Addiction
Hallesby says that you aren’t really praying unless you are helpless.
I’ve never heard of Hallesby. I presume you’re referring to his book “Prayer”? Would you recommend it?

I put the quote in a post.
It’s an old, old book. Hallesby died in 1961. I haven’t read it since my college days, but we raved about the book back then.
